Bio -
Pianist and Composer, Seth Montfort, has been the Artistic Director of San Francisco Concerto Orchestra for 20 years. He tours frequently throughout the US and Latin America where he performs in and near Temples Cathedrals and in his favorite giant treehouses of Pura Jungla reforestation project in Costa Rica. He is kind of a Monkey who originally wanted to be a naturalist in the Jungle. He specializes in a wide variety of music from Mozart, Chopin & Liszt to Gershwin, ragtime and Latin dance music from all over the world and tropical virtuoso Jungle music. He made his debut with the Denver Symphony at 16 performing Ravel's Concerto for the Left Hand and has since given over 100 performances as a concerto soloist with local regional and national orchestras. He keeps 20 hours of music memorized and will often take requests from a varied list of works each=2 0of which he has performed over 100 times. He has given over 2500 performances, won a dozen Local, National and International prizes, played in most of the Bay Area's biggest halls, has been the subject of many feature articles and has been chosen for Top Picks and Critics Choice in most of the Bay Area's major newspapers. But he enjoys playing for small gatherings in intimate settings most.
